Friday Inspo | Family Heirlooms

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue!  Who said that something old had to be boring or understated?  We don’t believe that!  Here are 5 great ways to make your “something old” into a focal point of your wedding!

1. Wear an antique ring on your right hand!

Traditionally, the ring finger on both hands are thought to lead directly to the heart, so why not wear an older ring on your other hand?

2. Use vintage photographs for centerpieces!

Even if your great-grandparents aren’t able to be with you on your special day, honor their memory with photo canvas centerpieces.

3. Give your mother’s wedding dress a modern makeover!

Of course, you’ll want to get the blessing of your family before cutting the dress, but the antique fabric can give your dress a more romantic feel.  We love vintage-looking dresses!

4. Find alternative uses for a brooch!

If you didn’t want to wear a brooch on your wedding dress, but you can easily make it into a cute and personal bouquet charm!

5. Loan your timepiece to your fiancé for the day!

To welcome him into the family, we love the idea of having the groom wear an heirloom watch or timepiece as part of his outfit.
