Real #Azazie Wedding | Rachel + Tyler

This month’s real wedding is with the cutest couple ever! Rachel and Tyler held their I dos in the home where Tyler grew up, and as if that wasn’t cute enough – Rachel’s dad officiated their marriage. We’re so in love with their wedding that represented their amazing love for each other!

Q: What location did you pick to have your wedding and why did you choose this place?

“Our wedding took place at the Pumphrey’s house. This was his childhood home where he grew up, and honestly, where I fell in love with him while getting to see his relationships with his family. We wanted a location that was representative of us. Additionally, my Dad was our officiant and having the wedding at Tyler’s childhood home with my Dad officiating made the ceremony unique to who we are as a couple. No one else will have this wedding and we will forever treasure how personal our ceremony was.”

Q: Did you have a particular theme or color scheme? Is there a story behind this color theme and why you chose it?

“Our favorite color is blue and we definitely knew we were going with navy suits. Then I played around with more of a grey-blue dress for the bridesmaids, but we ultimately decided on the light blue because it looked springier and went with our eyes! The raspberry tie took a while to decide on, but we both didn’t want the ties to be the same color as the bridesmaid dresses. We wanted a color that complimented the dress. There were many to choose from and we ultimately liked the raspberry option the best.”

Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?

“Oh jeez, so many! The day with the girls was great, the ceremony was perfect, our first dance was so fun, and the reception was a blast; but honestly, the best was when after the ceremony we went to the backyard to look at the tent before photos. While I was excited about how pretty the tent was, I couldn’t stop smiling and looking at Tyler (and kissing him too). The joy of knowing we were finally married at that moment was breathtaking.”

Q: Why did you choose Azazie for your bridesmaids?

“I shopped around a while for the bridesmaids dress. Since my bridesmaids all live in different cities across the country, I wanted it to be available online. I also didn’t want them to pay an arm and a leg, and I wanted them to feel comfortable and confident. Ultimately, Azazie had the best quality for the best price. Plus, out of all of the other online bridesmaids dress stores, Azazie had the best color swatch that went with our color vision.”

Q:  Any tips or advice for anyone getting married soon?

“Tyler and I had a blast planning the wedding together, but the one thing we would have done differently is to order personalized thank you cards through a vendor in bulk online. We kept buying wedding thank you cards at various stores and spent so much more money buying cards that way than if we would have bought them in bulk online. It seemed expensive to buy that many at once, but it would have saved money in the long run. Other than that, it was so fun and went smoothly! Enjoy it – you only get to plan your wedding with your fiancé once!”

Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?

“As said in the previous question, we thoroughly enjoyed it! The only stressful part was the guest list because we were limited on space and you can’t invite everyone. Once we got past that part, everything was pretty seamless. Plus, Tyler and I are both planners which definitely factored into why we enjoyed it and why it went well. Just call us the Pumphrey Party Planners!”

Q: Where did you find/hear about Azazie?

“It was one of the first options I found when searching online. Thank you, Google!”

Q: Describe your wedding in one word.

“Perfect.”
