Q: You and your hubby are so cute! How did you know that your partner was the one?

“Chris somehow completely understands me. He knows how to push me to be my best, but also knows how to comfort me when I am feeling weak. That is how I knew that he was the one.”

Q: Who was the most nervous on the big day?

“That’s a hard one. I think we were both a little bit nervous. I had decided soon after we got engaged that I was going to walk down the aisle, which for most women isn’t an issue, but for a paraplegic who uses a wheelchair it is actually a big deal. I worked for over a year to be able to do this. With that being said, that was where my nerves kicked in. I was so nervous that my legs might give out or just decide not to work. But everything went as planned and I am so glad that I did it.”

Q: If you could relive any moment during your wedding day what would it be?

“The whole day was absolutely wonderful. We loved being able to celebrate with our friends and family. But my favorite part of the day was actually after the wedding celebration was over. The wedding coordinator at the venue drove us to our hotel room and Chris and I just sat on the couch in our room, drank champagne, and ate cookies that were saved from the wedding all while talking about how amazing the day was. It was like we were reliving every moment and we were able to tell each other about all of the amazing moments leading up to the ceremony. Neither of us could stop smiling and we were just overwhelmed with love and joy.”

Q: Celebrating your big day means making tons of decisions. What was your favorite part of the planning experience?

“Wedding planning is hard because there are so many moving pieces. My husband was gone for most of the planning because he was deployed. So my favorite parts were the parts we did together. Before he left we decided on the venue and were able to have the catering tasting and we had a lot of fun doing that.”

Q: What inspired you to choose your wedding colors/theme?

“Well we were having a winter wedding so that had a bit to do with it. And since Chris is in the US Navy, we wanted to incorporate a dark navy color as well. I also wanted the colors to be timeless and classic so we decided on navy, burgundy, blush pink, and champagne.”

Q: We’re so honored that you chose us! Why did you choose Azazie to be a part of your special day?

“You all had so many options. I wanted my girls to be able to express their personalities through the dress style they picked. And your pricing was great too.”

Q: How did you decide on your wedding venue?

“Chris and I love wine and I loved the idea of getting married at a winery. When we went and visited Trump Winery we were overwhelmed with how beautiful it was. They are very military friendly which was a big deal in our book and the wedding coordinator there was absolutely amazing and helped us in so many ways.”

Q: Many of our readers are brides-to-be. Do you have any tips for these lovely ladies?

“Get a wedding planner. I couldn’t have done it without one. No matter how on top of everything you think you are, there is always something you are forgetting and having a wedding planner is on top of everything and will make sure that you are stress free on your wedding day.”
